38th Annual Moon Lake Threshing Bee

Always held the third weekend in August, the Moon Lake Threshing Bee in western Wisconsin offers fun for the family all weekend. In addition to displays and demonstrations throughout the day, you can…

  • enjoy old time music
  • shop at the flea market and craft fair
  • munch on delicious food, including homemade pies
  • bring the kids for a pedal tractor pull, sawdust pile, or a small train ride

We are easy to get to, located 4 miles east of Clayton and 5 miles south of Turtle Lake, across County Road K from Big Moon Lake.

Lower Turtle Lake Annual picnic Saturday August 20th.
 
The annual picnic is fast approaching! We need your help to make this the best picnic yet!
 
Volunteers needed for the following…
People to pick up and return chairs from the VFW in Almena.
Looking for a hoedown Photo booth (People can use their own cameras)
Would like a person to organize some kids games.
Someone to help with set up of tables and chairs.
This year we will be having a picnic, auction, and hoedown dance. It will all be at Linda Murray’s pole barn at the end of 12 3/4 Ave.
 
Picnic starts at 4pm with the dance ending at 9pm.
 
Pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, pop and water will be provided.
 
We are asking each family to bring a dish to pass along with any other beverage you would like.
 
For the auction we will need new donated items, they can be for adults or children. There will be a few silent auction items and the donated items will be raffled off. Tickets for those items can be purchased for $1 each. You can purchase as many tickets as you would like.
 
There will also be 2 peoples names drawn for all those who have volunteered either for the poker run or picnic events this year!
 
You must be present to win.
